Here's what to expect from the 25th anniversary showcase of Resident Evil
Yesterday saw the 25th official anniversary of Resident Evil, and Capcom celebrates one of his most popular franchises with a group. After all, 25 years old is a milestone for the kind, and although Resident Evil is not the first survival horror franchise, we did not hear any new on a new Alone in the Dark game from the online entry Only criticized, Alone in the Dark: Illumination, since 2015 - Although the license was acquired by THQ Nordic in 2018.
Capcom celebrates the 25th anniversary of the big series. This year, we receive a lively series, a movie and a new game - as well as a new multiplayer game associated with it - and all these things will probably see more details fall into the new Resident Evil Showcase scheduled for April.
Among others, waiting impatiently:
- A demo for Resident Evil: Village - The day of the announcement and exit of the Maiden demo, Capcom confirmed that a new demo would be launched before the village exit. Unlike Maiden, a PS5 exclusivity, the new demo will be available on all platforms. Perhaps, like the last demo of Resident Evil 7, there will be a bonus in the main game for players who perform certain actions.
- A Teaser for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City - The newly appointed film is expected to go out in September, just six months. What better way to give people a first glimpse of what to expect by putting a trailer during a celebration of the franchise history? Well, classify it in the long run - Screen Gems studios and Constantin Films might want to drop the trailer at a cinematographic event.
- A trailer for infinite darkness - We know that Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be released on Netflix later this year, but we still do not know much of the series. Like the movie, a showcase would be an ideal place to give a glimpse of the fans.
- ads, ads, ads - true, everything I mentioned above could be classified as an ad, but there are still some details that Capcom may want to connect, like the rumor of resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil: Revelations Suite who would have looked at the long-lasting heroine Rebecca Chambers, and a rumor of remilling the original trilogy. *
Unfortunately, we do not know what to expect before, well, the real showcase. The only certainty (in my eyes) is a demo of Resident Evil: village, but as always, you can stop at Cogconnected for the latest news once the showcase will take place.
