BVB-Star Advanced talks about the future
Defender Manuel Akanji was at football Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund last as one of those professionals who could leave the club in summer. After the Herben 1: 4 swatter in the top match against RB Leipzig, the BVB defender now expressed itself to his future intentions.
A few months before the end of the running season remains unclear whether Manuel Akanji is also part of the squad of Borussia Dortmund in the following season. The Swiss international has at the black and yellow only contract until summer 2023, all too many thoughts he can not be elicited with regard to a possible extension.
"I currently have the full focus on Dortmund. What happens in the future, we'll see that," said Akanji on Saturday evening at "Sky". "I'm totally happy to play here in the team. I think I have an important role and wants to bring my performance until the end, and then we will see in summer as it goes on."

Most recently, "picture" had reported that the 26-year-old has rejected a second range of table seconds to extend his contract. Only when changing after the current season, BVB would receive a reasonable transfer fee.
One of the prospective customer is to be Manchester United, where Ralf Rangnick is currently interim trainer and will continue to work as a consultant after this season. The Italian newspaper "TuttoAkanji" had recently brought Juventus Turin into play as a possible customer. However, Akanji should only be considered as an alternative, National Antonio Rüdiger should not be contracted.
For the defensive, the Dortmund has already committed Niklas Süle to the new season. The central defender comes from the German record champion FC Bayern Munich.
